This week, I will be going to Miami to attend the 16th season of Funkshion's Fashion Week Miami Beach! It's going to be all about music and fashion, two things that I absolutely adore. Fashion shows in a tent directly on the beach...this should be interesting!
What is this event exactly? I will quote the press release:
"FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach is a four day/evening long event that provides an intelligent, innovative platform for progressive and established designers to showcase their collections to media, celebrities, international buyers, and select style makers. The shows are geared towards designer diffusion collections and innovative lifestyle brands. Designers will integrate music into their shows, many personally selecting their favorite celebrity DJs and bands to preside over their runway shows."

I am very excited to be attending this event, especially because of the "Fashion Loves Haiti" segment! And let's not forget that Roberto Cavalli, Vivienne Westwood and one of my favorite designers, Moschino, will all be showcasing part of their Fall/Winter 2011 collections. I also cannot wait to see the creations of new, innovative designers.
