Keepin' it real with Sass: How to make roasted garlic

How fancy does "roasted garlic" sound, huh? Roasted garlic risotto, lasagna with roasted garlic, it all sounds so fab! The fact that the garlic is roasted add some sweetness and incredible flavor to this taste enhancing ingredient.

Roasted garlic is good in rice, soup, mashed potatoes (OMG), pesto, vegetables and is incredible to enhance sauces like bechamel, gravy and tomato sauce. It is also DELICIOUS when brushed on baguette, especially when eaten with some yummy tartar.

So how do you make roasted garlic? It sounds soooo complicated! But seriously, it is so easy to make, you won't believe it.

YOU WILL NEED

-A bulb (or bulbs, depending on how much you need) of garlic, with the top cut off (see picture)
-Olive oil
-Salt
-Foil paper

SO!!!!

-Preheat the oven at 350 Fahreheit
-Put the garlic in foil, add a tablespoon of olive oil and some salt
-Close the foil tightly. If you want, you can add another layer of foil on top to make sure nothing drips
-Put in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour.
-Remove from oven, let cool and you can squeeze as many mushy cloves as you need!! I usually squeeze a few in a small bowl and mash the garlic with a fork before using it in my recipes.

YUMMY!!!
