Day 21: How you hope your future will be like

I live by the saying "Carpe Diem" aka the latin term for the expression "Seize the Day". I even have it tattooed! However, I cannot deny the fact that I do think about the future. Here are a few things that I am extremely hopeful for, pray for and truly wish to see in my future:

-I would like to have a career in a field that I love. I talk about these domains here.

Doing something that you love is necessary for your well being. Sometimes, what you love isn't always the best financially but the positive psychological effects are undeniable. I've been working for over ten years and I definitely know in what fields I DO NOT want to have a career in. There is often a big difference between what you do for a living and your job/career and I would want my career to be what I do for a living. I'm not sure I explained myself in the best way but I think you get it ;)

-I want to have a family

I'm old school, I talk about it more in depth here. I want to fall in love, court, get married, have children and live in a big house. I don't care about the divorce rate, I strongly believe in marriage. But I also want to

Day 20: Your fears

Q: What are your fears?
A: I fear God and losing someone I love.

Day 19: 5 items you lust after

I'm a girl so of course I got excited with this topic!

Here are my top 5 dream items, from the cheapest  item to most expensive one.

1. Prada Candy perfume
About 100$

This perfume smells sooooo good. I want to buy it ASAP.

2. Hermes "H" Bracelets
570$ - 590$ depending on the size

I love these cute gold and colored bracelets. If I could have each color, I would.

Day 18: A problem that you've had

I'll be brief and say that even up to now, some people (especially the older, old school generation) think something might be wrong with me since I am 25, not married and with no kids. Let me remind you guys that we are in 2012 and that although I acknowledge my weirdness, I consider myself pretty normal #ImDone

I say it's a "problem" that I've had because it gets rather annoying, especially when it's coming from people who don't even know me personally.

Check out an article I wrote on that matter called "Better Single than Sorry". Oh and shoutout to my dad! He understands. Check out his comment at the end of the article I just put a link to :)

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 16 & 17

Another two-in-one!

Day 16: Something you always think "What if" about

I try my best not to think "What if" and to live in the past. Everything that happened in my life, even the worst things, have made me who I am today. If I start saying "What if", then it would mean that I live in regret and therefore accept to live in misery and nostalgia. In my opinion, living with regrets = being miserable, which I am totally trying to avoid.

Carpe Diem!

Day 17: Something you are proud of

Although I am proud of many, many things, I am the most proud of two things:

1. My work experience.

I have been working since I was 15 years old and never stopped....even in between good jobs, I would do "crappy" jobs just because I am so used to working. I started off working at KFC (YES! Yes I did!) and worked in many places. I never knew how important having work experience was until I started getting job offers WAY before my graduation from University. When I would ask the recruiters "Oh so is this job for after I graduate?", many of them replied "Usually, yes, but with your experience we could take you now" #POW!

2. This blog, Versass

What started as a sporadic hobby has soon become my passion! Remember when Versass was "Sassy on a Budget aka sassyonabudget.blogspot.com" and had a bootleg layout with

Day 15: Your zodiac/horoscope and if you think if fits your personality

SAGITTARIUS!

YES! The Archer! The traveler! The extrovert and the stubborn.

Here are a few characteristics I found online to describe my sign & I think 80% of it is true. Click here for the full description.

Sagittarius

Date range: November 23 to December 22 (It varies...)
Symbol: The Archer
Element: Fire (Of course...)

STRENGHTS
-Honest and fortright
-Lighthearted
-Intellectual
-Has excellent communication skills

WEAKNESSES
-Sharp tongue
-Prone to change (I see this as a good AND a bad thing)
-Restless
-Flirtatious nature

All of the above is true so I will not comment much! Some people see our nature as flirtatious but in my case, I would like to clarify that sometimes, the "flirtation" is innocent since I think I'm just being sociable or nice. But then...when the other person starts getting too touchy or is getting another idea....I'm like "oh oh..."

I love the symbol so much I decided to tattoo it
"They love animals and take good care of them"
xoxoxoxo Lolita and Kisha I love youuuuu

"A typical Sagittarius fears nothing and, at times, may get attracted to danger. He is not the one to keep his thoughts to himself. In fact, what is in his mind and heart will instantly be on his lips"

Day 14: What you wore today

Regular day at work.

But my glasses and the red pants made all the difference! I told you guys I would try to wear more colors this summer.

Pants: Zara
Shirt: Forever 21 (Forever in my closet too...it's sooooo old smh)
Wedges:

Day 13: Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it

I think this is a pretty interesting question, since a lot of people assume that every skinny girl on the planet is either super happy about her body or anorexic/bulimic. Not always true my friends, not always true.

So yes, I do like my body. I do not necessarily watch what I eat and I have never been on a crazy diet but I do work out pretty often and have done so most of my life. My motto is "Eat what you like, but work it out"! Anyways, body wise I'm cool about it, my favorite body parts being my legs (thank you, years of dance and soccer) and stomach with my least favorite part being my arms:No matter what I do to tone them, they are always blah or too muscular, never in between. I do wish I had a bit more ass and boobs (which girl doesn't?) but I'm still happy they are still proportionate to my body. I remember getting teased in high school (by the black people....*side eye*) as they would tell me I was "too skinny" and

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 11 + Day 12, family and hot guys (umm...)

I was super busy and fell behind on the challenge! However, I am determined to FINISH IT DAMNIT!!! So 2 in one for today!

Day 11: Your Family

Okay I love my fam, I talk about them all of the time and I am extremely blessed to have them in my life. However, I will not get into too many details about them (I respect their private life) but I will tell you what I love the most about my immediate fam:

-Patricia aka Patou, my little sister, 4 years younger: I love how mature you are for your age and your sense of humor, you always make me smile on a rainy day. And you do great makeup.
-Dad aka Garry aka Da Don: I love how you always push me to go further in live. Also love how even at your age, you STILL love to party (hummmm wonder who I got that from).
-Mom aka Chantal aka Chantou: I love how ORGANIZED you are I wish I was more like you in that sense. I also love how humble you are and like I've mentioned before, your amazing sense of style.

And that is, among many, many other things. I have A LOT of family except for my immediate fam, here are a few last names that are part of my fam (I KNOW for a fact I am still unaware of certain cousins): Desamours, Lys, Estriplet, Sajous, Pierre-Louis, Theodore, Joseph, Laroche, Alexandre, Desiré and more. I am also exremely blessed to have friends I consider like family :) Esecially Guerla and her fam (you know who you are).

So yeah!!! That's my fam!

Day 12: Five guys whom you find attractive

Oh, that's easy. Physically, I have a thing for

-Older, slightly muscular guys with a bit of beard.
-Guys that are just CLEAN...that dress well.
-Men in suits

NUMBER ONE, the hottest ever

Day 9: How important is education?

That's a touchy one. You know why? Because I completely believe in education at home and in school, but I also believe that you also need to be WILLING to apply it to your life for it to be effective.

Let me break it down for you....

You can

Day 8: What you ate today

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 8

Before I write this post, I want to be clear on something: I am not the healthiest eater and I do not really believe in diets. I love food too much! The only thing is, except for Haitian food, I'm rarely able to eat large quantities at once. So don't be surprised if my list of food consumed includes a bunch of crap. Since I am not trying to write this post at 11:59, I will talk about what I ate yesterday.

This 30 Day Blogging Challenge asks me to do the most random posts but I love it! Here it goes:

Breakfast

-McDonald's oatmeal. It was my first time tasting it and it was really good! It had fruits (wow, good job McDo #progress) and brow sugar. Not bad, not bad.
-Coffee from McDo. Not bad either.

Lunch + Snacks during the day

-Sushi: Salmon and kamikaze.
-Melba toast with butter.
-Strawberries
-Kashi cereal in a ziploc bag

Dinner

Me and my friend Fabiani went to "Usine a Spaghetti", a pasta restaurant in the Old Port. We decided to go there not for its gastronomical aspect , but 1. For the free salad bar and 2. It was very close to Terrasses Bonsecours which is where we had to meet people after dinner. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it did the job! The waitress was very nice, the salad bar was good and I tasted a Quebec wine for the first time! I ate:

-Lots of

30 Day Blogging challenge. Day 7: 5 pet peeves

YAYYYY!!!

1. People snoring
I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't.

2. Hearing people peeing or doing any number after 2
Which is why I hate public bathrooms. It's so bad that sometimes I have to

30 Day Blogging challenge. Day 6: Your view on mainstream music

Mainstream music sucks nowadays. I can't say I hate it, because you've heard me singing that "Friday" song many times.

See, mainstream music has one purpose: To make you addicted to a song with no particular meaning or message, to buy the record and perhaps even go to the show. The whole point of it is entertainment...and perhaps to teach you a few new dance moves (you a jerk! you a jerk!)! You fall for it, then laugh about it years later. I think it's addictive yet irrelevant, and I can't lie and say I haven't fell for it many, many times. It's okay to fall for it sometimes but if as an ADULT that's all you listen to....something's wrong.

There is nothing new with the fuckery involved with mainstream music! Let me give you

30 Day Blogging challenge. Day 5: Things you want to say to an ex

Oh oh.

What would I want to say to an ex? A few things, actually.

Thank you

 for being an ass,
 for the good times,
for making me who I am,
for not being my better half. Thanks
for making me think twice before opening my heart,
for making me grow up without wanting to grow up and even
for the bad times. I am now more careful. Grateful. And thank you
for this relationship. Although it did not quite work out, I am now ready
for someone who can accomplish, love me, teach me, want me, stand by me  the way you couldn't. Wouldn't.

I wouldn't be who I am today without experiencing...You. Thank you.

30 Day Blogging Challenge. Day 2

DAY 2: SOMETHING YOU FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT

This is a tough one since I feel strongly about a lot of things. However, there is one thing I have discovered the hard way:

Following your passion is the way to happiness.

For me, it speaks for itself although I keep realizing it during the most random moments (The numbers of Déjà Vus I have are intense). Lord knows I've done a lot of changes in my life when it comes to school and career. From law to finance to marketing to working in retail then telemarketing and now mortgages, I've seen it all. But at the end of the day, I've looked back in at my life and understood that there are three things I absolutely love and that are always a part of my life, no matter how busy I am.

1. Writing

You must be thinking "Well obviously!!!", but sometimes something is so natural that you don't even realize it is a passion or a talent. When I was a kid, I learned how to read and write at a very young age and I remember just sitting in my room, writing stories. Unlike other kids, I hated drawing and preferred reading and especially writing. This trend followed me throughout my life... And I am not limited to writing stories, I also love writing poetry but it is very personal to me and I rarely share it....I think I shared poems only 3 times in my life: The first time in school during an oral presentation, the second time I recited a poem I wrote on Haitian women as my talent during the Miss Citronnelle Canada pageant and the last time in 2008 on Facebook, when I was going through very rough times. I don't know...I'm shy. Can't share my poetry..yet. Maybe one day I will!

Check out my book collection and Barbie notebook (where I used to write my stuff).  With my signature high bun :D
8th grade: Won the first prize in my Reading and Writing class at Jean de la Mennais
When it comes to writing in general, I love it with all of my heart. It is the most healing thing for me, it is also

30 Day Blogging challenge. Day 1: 5 ways to win my heart

You guys. I will be blogging everyday during the month of June :) Not only it will be a new hobby (gosh), but you will also get to know me better! I read a few of these in the past month but it was too late for me to start. I'm on it now and I found this particular one quite interesting.

So here it goes!

DAY 1: Five ways to win your heart

Okay this is a good one! Since you guys already know my opinions on the single life (and I'm still single), here are 5 ways to win my heart when it comes to "LOVE", among other things.

1. Be my friend before my lover

I'm a goof, a dork and I like to chill and play sports. If what we have is just physical, it
